Yesterday, after a bit too much party on Halloween Eve, I went to the movies to see "Social Network" and "The Hereafter". Prior to the screening of "Social Network," the preview for "True Grit" aired, which is the latest effort from the Coen Brothers, and will star Jeff Bridges, Josh Brolin, and Matt Damon. During the preview, they played the Johnny Cash version of "God's Gonna Cut You Down" (and my fave version of the tune). It's also the song my favorite Rockies pitcher, Joe Beimel, walks out to before he takes the mound. Here's a photo of me meeting him on August 28th. Joe may have never called me after I gave him my business card, but it's still a great song.
